With a full Set, Bone Spear deals 10,000% more damage, and triple that for Simulacrums.īoth classes saw major changes to some of their Legendary items as well, with the Necromancer also seeing a major shift in some skill mechanics. Having a Simulacrum out also decreases incoming damage drastically, and causes you to split damage dealt to you between yourself and the Simulacrum. The Masquerade of the Burning Carnival set causes your Simulacrums to take no damage, gain all runes, and refreshes its cooldown on death. When wearing the full set, all primary skills deal 10,000% more damage. Using Strafe automatically fires your primary skill as well, gives damage reduction, and increased movement speed. When you deal damage with a primary skill, you gain Momentum, which increases your primary skill damage - up to a max of 20 seconds. ![]() The Gears of Dreadlands has a new Momentum mechanic. This season introduces the Gears of Dreadlands for Demon Hunters and the Masquerade of the Burning Carnival for Necromancers. The past few seasons of Diablo 3 have introduced new gear Sets. These effects could change how and when players tackle large groups of enemies during season 21. ![]() Every 90 seconds, players will either rain meteors from the sky, breathe lightning, summon flame walls, unleash energy tornadoes, or crush enemies with snowballs. For Trials of Tempests, players constantly channel an elemental power. A storm of elementsĪs with the past several seasons, season 21 offers a new seasonal effect, which constantly changes the player’s gameplay experience. This new season offers new armor sets for some classes, and a new elemental power bonus. PDT, players can jump into season 21, called Trials of Tempests. When we have a definitive start date for the new season, we will update this post with that information.On June 23, Blizzard launched the latest patch for Diablo 3, ahead of its new season. We don’t know if the effects of COVID-19 have slowed things down for the Diablo 3 development team, so the timetables could of course shift depending on if problems were created. Considering the Demon Hunter and Necromancer have some new sets to play with, it won’t be surprising to see a lot of players flock towards them. This downtime could be used for players to take a break from the game and plan what class they will go for next. After the end of a season, there’s usually a bit of downtime before a new one begins, so it might not be surprising to see things kick off in July. This does mean that Season 21 will more than likely start sometime in June. There will likely be some adjustments to the plethora of changes that were introduced, but for the most part, we have a good idea of what to expect.
